Curacy (full-time, two year) - Episcopal or ELCA Candidates

Name of church/institution:
Saint Mark's Little Rock

Saint Mark’s-Little Rock is presently seeking Episcopal Church or ELCA candidates for a two-year full-time curacy position beginning in summer 2024.  Saint Mark’s is a program-sized, multi-staff parish (membership of 1500 and post-COVID, in-person ASA of 325).  Both the parish and Diocese of Arkansas are welcoming and affirming.  We are a Jesus-centered, broad-church parish that emphasizes traditional-but-flexible worship, outreach ministry, and formation.  Our staff is cohesive and healthy.  Our lay leadership is fully-engaged.

The tw0-year curacy is for a newly-ordained seminary graduate who will be a full member of clergy staff with their own responsibilities but also will receive mentoring for development in ministry.  The compensation package is competitive relative to the cost of living in Arkansas (which is blessedly low) and includes full family health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.

Little Rock is home to the Clinton Presidential Library and sits at the edge of the Ozark Mountains.  It is an outdoors mecca and was recently named one of the 25 best places to live in the Southeast.
