Brief Description of United Church of Beloit: We are a merged (2013) Congregational (NACCC) and Presbyterian (PCUSA) church with about 60 active members. We are active in community organizations, denominational associations, and local ecumenical fellowships. Through the use of our building, volunteering, and financial donations, we support a variety of local, national, and international organizations and ministries. We are comfortable with theological diversity, while seeking to be one in Christ Jesus our Lord. We seek to build a community in Christ that we might reach our community for Christ. We place high value on loving connection with God through worship, and with people through large-group fellowship times, and small-group Bible study experiences. Just as importantly we value mission and service projects, including outreach to neighbors in need locally and in the world. We are open to calling a minister from either denomination or from a third denomination, but any minister will be expected to affiliate with both the NACCC and PCUSA and will need to be approved by the Milwaukee Presbytery.
